We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Facilities Manager to oversee the operation, maintenance of our Calgary buildings. This role is responsible for supervising a team of maintenance personnel and ensuring all facilities operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with applicable regulations.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with HVAC/Mechanical systems, as well as electrical and plumbing, along with proven leadership and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations and maintenance of 11 facilities
  • Supervise, schedule, and support a team of four maintenance staff
  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs
  • Ensure proper operation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • Coordinate repairs, inspections, and vendor services as needed
  • Maintain compliance with safety standards, building codes, and regulations
  • Develop and manage maintenance budgets and track expenses
  • Respond to emergency maintenance issues as required
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost savings
What you bring to the table:
  • Proven experience as a facilities manager or in a similar role
  • Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • Experience supervising maintenance or facilities staff
  • Ability to manage multiple buildings and priorities effectively
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and building codes
  • Proficiency with maintenance management systems and basic computer applications
  • Technical certifications or trade background (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
  • Experience maintaining/managing multiple buildings
  • Welding experience is an asset
