This is a 3 month contract position that will be based out of our Environmental division in Dartmouth. The anticipated end date for this position is February 7th 2025.
The Sample Receipt Technician is the entry level position into the logistics chain. This position is given direction from the Logistics Supervisor and other logistics team members. The Sample Receipt Technician assists with administrative and basic logistics activities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure samples are properly entered in the Laboratory Information Management System and are available to laboratory staff in a timely manner
- Ensure all sample integrity issues are properly documented and reported
- Ensure incoming non-sample deliveries are properly processed
- Ensure all safety procedures are followed Responsible to maintain a clean and organized work area Other duties as assigned
- Limited to no logistics experience
- Basic computer skills
- Problem solving skills
- Customer service experience an asset

Work Environment: This position requires a person to stand, sit and lift throughout the shift in a shipping warehouse environment. This position may require consistent lifting of up to 50 lbs. Manual dexterity is required to perform repetitive tasks. PPE is required where applicable.
